Dr. Lim Wan Yi graduated from National University of Singapore, with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Since graduation, Dr. Lim began serving in the public healthcare sector practicing community dentistry in National University Polyclinics (NUP).
After her polyclinic stint, Dr. Lim was posted to Health Promotion Board (HPB) and School Dental Services where she worked with toddlers and young adults aged <6 and 7-16 before moving to advanced dentistry in hospitals where she learnt about the provision of routine and emergency dental care for geriatric and medically complex patients in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), Institute of Mental Health (IMH) and National University Centre for Oral Health, Singapore (NUCOHS).
Having completed a wide range of dental postings and treated patients from all walks of life, Dr. Lim developed a soft spot for the older folks and enjoys empowering them to care for their dental health through simple oral hygiene instructions and improving their quality of life through provision of affordable dental prostheses like dentures.
Dr. Lim also strives to provide the best dental care for her patients and continually hones her skillsets and knowledge through professional courses, conferences and education. She is a member of CGDP (College of General Dental Practitioner) and SDA (Singapore Dental Association).
Outside of work, Wan Yi is a crazy cat lady. She also enjoys baking, cooking and nearby grocery runs to the supermarkets on her motorcycle as much as road trips up north with her spouse.
