Most of the time, our wisdom teeth do not grow out straight, hence giving problems like food trap or gum infection, causing pain and swelling or even tooth decay. Most of us will have our wisdom teeth emerge between 17 -22 years old. It’s hard to clean wisdom teeth that do not grow out straight, and it’s hard to detect tooth decay that may be happening deep inside the impacted area. Hence, it’s advisable to remove such wisdom teeth that do not grow out straight, or partially covered by gum.
